The IBDacademe will promote best clinical practice based on best evidence including the latest AGA and ECCO guidelines, as well as local guidelines and clinical care pathways.
Projects will involve development of a regional document for clinical care pathways in IBD including training and capacity building along with patient active involvement. This includes leveraging local and regional and international expertise in furthering knowledge, training and research in IBD, collaboration with healthcare providers and training of practitioners (possibly via Project ECHO in collaboration with the University of New Mexico), pharmaceutical industry, policy makers and local, regional and international scientific associations, network building, and quality assurance.
